His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew is visiting Australia from October 4 to October 19, 2024.
To celebrate this on the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia, we are blessed with the forthcoming visit of His All Holiness. This visit, which is his second to Australia after almost three decades, will include various events and liturgical services in Sydney and Melbourne.

The event will feature a procession from the corner of George St and Cleveland St, Redfern, to the Cathedral. |

Patriarch Bartholomew, who is well known for his decades of peace advocacy across the globe, will visit Sydney and Melbourne between 4-19 October across a range of events to engage with members of the Greek Orthodox Church and the broader Australian community for the celebration of the Archdiocese’s centenary in Australia.
The ‘Patriarch for Peace,’ renowned in Orthodox Christianity for his global commitment, passion, and vigilance for the environment and for peace, will deliver these messages during his visit to Australia.
With a strong focus on peace advocacy, His All Holiness has been given the moniker ‘the Patriarch for Peace’, and invites all Australians to hear his message of peace as he travels to Australia.
